Post possibly thinking to sell?

i'm tentitivly thinking about selling my 88 911 coupe. Black on black, Xlnt condition, 107xxx miles, recent work in the past 3k miles include new clutch with update, new tie rods, new bilstien shocks, and 15K tune up $23,000. does that seem fairly priced?

Yes, I'd start there (or even higher), depending on how patient you can be in closing a deal.

Seems like a great price to me. I would imagine 22,500 would be the lowest you would have to go. Good luck

Agent325-

I'm considering updating from my '78 Targa. Could you be more descriptive about the car? By excellent condition do you mean no issues? At 100K+ miles the cars I've seen usually have the tiny rock chips on the bumper and trunk lid (especially black). Does your car have this, or does it have new paint? How about interior and headliner. Have the valve guides been done yet? Also, why are you thinking of selling? Any pics?

Please respond via the list, as I'm having lots of trouble with email right now. Thanks!

the car does have rock chips in the front, normal for a 100k mile car. I have not done the valve guide becuase it has not been a issue nor has my mechanic recomend it. the interior is in great shape, no tear or wear signs on the seats, the headliner has a minor scratch on the right side and is not noticiable. The only two things the car needs is the AC does not work and the tires are at about 60% tread. There are two reasons i'm thinking to sell the car 1) invest the money I get out of the car ( dont drive it as much as i would like to, about 3500 miles in the past year) 2) I would really like to upgrade to a 993!

Thanks for answering so quickly. I forgot to ask about the condition of the windshield. The cars I've looked at, and mine included, have glass that pits easily. At this point the one in my Targa looks like it's been sandblasted and needs to be replaced. How are the brakes? Do you have full service records? Is the bodywork free of dents/dings? Does the A/C just need a recharge, or is the compressor bad/something else? Is it possible to post a pic or two? Thanks, and interested...

the windsheild is a little pitted due to the rockchips over the years. I am not sure why the A/C is not working. I due have some records over the last 8-10 years and the body is free of dings and scratches. The cars is not in concoures condition, but its probably as clean as a 100K mile car can be. I will post pics as soon as I get the off my camera. If you are real interested i can give you detailed info over the phone
Thanks.
