Cool Valve Adjustments...how often ?

Hi~

It has been about 10,000 miles since my 911 had a valve adjustment, the valves sound ok, but it is due for an oil change, so I was wondering if I should go ahead & do it.

How often do you adjust your valves ???

thanks,

Chris

Chris,

I adjust my valves annually; I adjust them in conjunction with an oil and filter change.

You should be careful and not totally rely on their sound to determine if adjustment is required. Loose valves will make noise, but tight valves will not.

Chris,

My 84 suggested frequency is every 15,000 miles(~$500 here in VA). Same is true for the 85's through 89's Yours is probably close if not the same.
