Tom-

I had Leland West on my 82SC at 5k miles a year and and declared value of $18k.
As I remember it was in the high 300 range.
New Jersey does have the highest auto rates in the country.

Dan,
I am just down the road from you near Kennett Square. I have mine insured thru Erie (home and other cars as well) - it is registered as 'Classic' and I pay $289/yr. (It 'seems' like a good deal to register as classic in PA - one time registration fee, no emmisions testing, and better insurance rates.)
I am new owner but will be tackling any and all repairs myself. If you ever need a hand or will be doing anything interesting, let me know!
Cheers, Peter

I have seen several people on the BMW 320i forum that use Grundy. I think they pay like $100 every 6 months with an agreed upon value and unlimited miles. You just need another car as a daily driver and can't take it to work. Most accidents probally happen during rush hour anyway. The BMW 320i isn't worth the rust it is made out of and some of those guys have like $10,000 in their cars so having an insurance company tell you it is only worth $300 when it gets wrecked, just will not cut it.

Problem I had is that State Farm said I had to insure my home and all my vehicles with them in order to maintain my Umbrella policy. I'm not going to go without the Umbrella, even though I only drive the 911 about 2.5k yr, so I'm stuck paying about $900/yr. for the 911.

Don't fall for that... My State Farm guy said the same thing at first... then he researched more and sold me a $300 Hagerty policy. Umbrella discount stayed same for my other cars and house.

Thats odd. My State Farm Agent has offered me a stated value classic car policy if i agree to never driving my car to work or go to the track. Talk with him some more.

Since I do those things, I opted instead for a "pleasure" policy that limts my miles (7,500/year) and very limited trips to work. I need to have a car for each driver in my family pl;us the Porsche. I less than 1/2 of what you are paying. I can reduce the premium more if I agree to limit my total milage to 2,500.
