How many Ruby Red cabriolets made in 1983?

No problem. My take on it is that people like my PO requested the information and PCNA then realized how much labor it would take to continue to accommodate these kinds of requests. Instead of biting the bullet and organizing the data to easily respond to the requests, they appear to have taken the approach of saying the data is not available.

These are THE GERMANS! They keep meticulous records of everything! They could probably tell you what the engine builder had for lunch on the day each car was put together, let alone number by car, year and color. I'm being facetious, obviously, but serious at the same time!
My guess is they can get a lot of questions from enthusiasts on lots of topics, and probably have a standard "no" response to avoid having to respond to everyone. These are cars that they sold 25 years ago...that profit was spent years ago. Such is the fate of a car company that builds (built) such durable enthusiast cars in number!
