Default 1969 distributor cap replacement question

I'm new to this forum and need some help with a 1969 E. Purchased a non running 1969E with weber carbs on it so I don't know the year of the engine. The problem is that the distributor cap does not fit the distributor. The key ways do no line up as it is obvious that the cap is not for this distributor. The distributor number is 0231 159 006 . Can someone tell me the year I need for the correct replacement of the cap and rotor for this distributor

Thanks in advance

Lee

I'm no expert on early cars but I'm sure you'll be asked what brand is your distributor?
Bosch or Marelli or what?

Lee:

Thats a Bosch distributor, based on that number.

Call me on Monday and I can tell you (or get you) what cap, rotor and other ignition items you might need.
