8mm spacers 6.5 turns of te lug nuts Okay >?
Can anyone share their experience on this and tell me if this is safe.
I put 8mm spacers on the rear. Without spacers it takes 11 complete rotations turns of the lug wrench to tighten. With 8mm spacers it takes 6.5 turns. That's with standard 8" Fuchs 1989 3.2 Carrera wheel and lug nuts. I've thought of using steel lug nuts also for a little extra safety margin.

If an open lug nut does not seat with the lug stud flush (or beyond) the end of the nut, then no, in my book - not for a performance car anyway.
Mine uses adapters, which have their own studs, instead of a regular spacer.
You can search online for the info, but I remember seeing in one of the tech catalogs at work (maybe Greenfield Tap & Die, or Machinery Handbook) the number of threads needed per given thread pitch for max strength.

I would use adapters....to be on the safe side.

Drifting
A nut needs only it's bolts diameter to achieve maximum hold.
Porsche stud's are 14mm x 1.5mm pitch.
6.5 rotations @ 1.5mm pitch = 9.75mm
Minimum necessary 14mm
As others have said, Answer = No.
