Default Where to Buy.....??

Hi Guys,

Can someone please help with the following??

I am after some RSR - Flares - In Steel
Front 9 Inch and Rear 11 Inch.
As Photographed. Please note I don't want Turbo Flares they must be RSR in Steel.

Your advice would be much appreciated..

If you want genuine ones made in steel, they will be VERY expensive,..........

We had some made in Germany last year for a project car and they were not cheap.

Thanks Steve,

As Wilkinson says you are a Real Porsche Guru.

I received advice/quote from you about 2 months ago regarding building the engine and am at the moment just pricing here to save on the taxes and delivery costs. However I am still considering having you build an engine for me based on your reputation as "The Best"!!

I recently re-read that article and noted that you had the flares shipped from Germany. Can I ask how much they were and where you got them from??

I get really annoyed at RSR's Reproductions with Turbo Flares, it just doesn't suit!!

I'd love to hear from you.

Regards

Aaron

PS - I finally bought a car this Week. Which is below.

Hi Aaron:

Never believe everything you hear,....

We paid over $9K for those steel flares and that was at last year's exchange rates. They were perfect, though,.,....

It took me well over a year to find a source to make them so that one cannot be shared,.......

condor man, (I am going to get shot for this) A guy in Montclair, CA that is around the cormer from 911 Design tells me he has "piles of them" so many guys are having them cut off and the replica cars put back to stock. If I don't get banned for this I'll pass on the info when I get back to California....I think it's called "Quality 10 Plus" if you wanted a steel slantnose, he's the guy. (flame away)

Cheers Douglas,

Thanks for the Heads Up!!

However, Are you sure that they are RSR flares rather than Turbo Flares as there is a distinct differnce??

Yep,..that surprised me as well but there were no other alternatives to get the real thing.

I have never seen a 3.0 RS in person so I cannot say if those were hand-made (like RSR ones) or 930 ones.

Condor, This contact won't even tell me his name. he says he is: "funded by a private club".....he won't tell me much other than he is good with a hammer. he said he can do it starting with good turbo fenders and a hammer. it's the lip that gets tricky. if I bring him the car he will look at it, so just loan me the car.

I won't say "chop shop" but I think it takes a secret hand shake to get in and a death in the family to get out.

........keep looking, he doesn't want new customers.
