Default Different Wheel Diameters

Saw this on eBay:

Why 16" on the fronts and 17" on the rears?

Will this actually work well?

Guess that is the best way to get a larger diameter rear tire, since 16's have such limited sizes.
Some cars run this type of staggered diameter, but cannot recall seeing a 911 with it.
My main concern would be if you would need to run the rear of a 911 jacked-up like the one in the picture.

People run stagger wheels regularly. You need to keep in mind the overall diameter of the tire/wheel combination that you will be using.
