Hey all,
Where should my oil pressure gauge be reading at normally (at idle). Or, say, 3k rpm's? Mine stays pretty low...
It's a '77 s w/ a rebuilt 2.7.
Just curious!
Best,
Pete

Hi pete,
The general rule of thumb is 1 Bar per K of RPM. So at 3K RPM you should see approx. 3 Bar on your guage.
FWIW, my guage read very low, I thought it was engine trouble, turned out to be the sender, which is not an uncommon problem. Whew...
Good luck!
