More Ride Height/Alignment Questions
For the '87-89 Carrera, can anyone speak to the exact effects on the range of adjustment available with the rear camber and toe adjustment eccentrics by:
1) Leaving the rear ride height eccentric stock and lowering the car to euro height by re-indexing torsion bars only
2) Changing the ride height eccentrics adjustments
In other words, does the range of the adjustment of the alignment eccentrics change when one lowers the car via either re-indexing torsion bars or changing the ride height eccentrics?

Nope. The adjustment range is constant no matter where the bars are set/indexed.
No matter what, when you change the ride height you change the alignment, particularly the camber. Question is whether you change the height enough the significantly affect alignment. If you do re-index the rear bars, don't remove the spring plates from the trailing arms if you want to preserve your current alignment. Even then, if you lower more than 1/4" I imagine you'll want to get it re-ligned.
