Default Mounting an Optima battery

I understand that someone wrote up a procedure for mounting an Optima battery in an older 911 (mine is an '80 SC), but it is NLA on the Pelican site. It uses a plastic cutting board mounted to the bottom of the battery with four bolts & nuts, and to the floor of the tub with a bolt to the stock mounting hole.

Do any of you have this article, the cutting board template, and/or the correct battery part number? I understand that it is best to get the correct battery so that the poles are not reversed.

Please email what you have to dbryant@structural-integrity.net.

Thanks,

Don

Hey Don.
I have a plate I'm using on mine and you can use that as a template, if you wanna'.
Also, I am using a 'yellow top' Optima and believe they are all the same.

AJ-USA also sells a plate. That's what I did. I think it's like $ 30.

Marc,

Thanks for the offer. I got the paper one and I think it will do fine.

Ian,

Thanks for the links. Exactly what I needed.

I think i used the pelican diagram when i mad emy plate but the measurements were off by a little bit. If you use that diagram double check all the measurements to be sure it will work with your particular car/battery
