Post steel spare vs aluminum spare

My 88 has a steel spare. Sometime in the 90s
Porsche went to an aluminum spare, and it's
bound to be lighter. I've wondered if it will fit correctly in my front boot, and if there are any offset issues when mounted up? Anyone tried this?

Thumbs up

I have one and it mounts just fine. It is even red therefore matching my car colour.

I don't know its weight but it still seems pretty heavy so weight saving may be minimal.

Richard, thanks, and what year is your 911?
The front boot seems to change slighly
through the years.
