Default FS: 1989 Carrera 3.2 Coupe - SOLD!

I just bought this car to convert to my new race car but after discussing in more depth with my shop (that will support me) i've (we) decided I need to find an SC roller (or cheap complete car) to utilize all my parts and keep me in G Stock class.

This car has 130K+ miles, needs valve guides and a clutch. The PO included pretty much every part needed for the rebuild including gaskets, bearings, rings, clutch plate, valve stuff, etc. and they will obviously go with the car. Interior is like new, has a couple door dings and rust bubbles that would be easy (for me anyway) to fix properly.

Car runs beautifully, just smokes on startup after sitting (then runs clean after 1/2 mile) and the clutch will slip if you power on hard in the upper gears.

Edit -
FIRST $12.5K TAKES THE CAR HOME!

Can we get some pics? Sounds like a nice price for the car.

Sure nuff! The Momo wheel does go with it in case someone wonders and I "think" the PO will gladly send the OEM wheel along if so desired.. The seats show no signs of ANY wear, the pics are bad.. I think this would be a fantastic, fun car for someone if they have some time and a few bucks to invest in her.. well worth $20K when all is said and done (IMHO of course)...

I'll try and take close-ups tomorrow in the daylight. My assumption is at some point a PO had a hack repaint the front fenders and hood and he did a ****e job of prep. I see no sign of damage so it's the best guess I can make since I have seen a LOT of crappy prep work lately! I would go as far as to fix the spots for close to the asking price but reality is for 3-5K all this can be done and you will have a great car and will know it's going to run great for a loooong time.. DIY using the parts that come with it and it's far less.. A quick fix would be to toss in the (included) clutch plate and just run her until you feel like doing the valve guides, won't hurt anything but the mosquitos..

Just ran a CarFax for the hell of it and it's clean. Looks like the next owner will be the 3rd. First in MA, second in NY.

Sweet I will even deliver it. Which is better Saturday or Sunday?

Honestly if I had some spare cash I would try and trade you. Good luck with the sale.

Reality is after a close examination of the rust areas I may just fix and repaint the front end myself. It needs to have patches MIG'd in to be right (I just happen to have a Miller MIG, TIG, and Plasma cutter!), epoxy primered, primered, and shot. If I go to that trouble I may do the mechanical work also... not what I wanted to do nor do I have time to do it right now.

I'll try this first - Come and get the car for $12,500.00 but do it quick!
