Default Wheel confusion

I always get confused with offsets and such.

Can you put 7 and 8.5 x 17 Porsche wheels (they came from a 01 Boxster) on a 88 911?

The offsets are 48 and 55 respectively (front and rear). Would I need spacers for them to fit correctly?

I'm just playing...I'm waiting for a set of refinished Fuchs 7 and 9's, black centers and polished lips, hand painted center caps, and it looks like it might be a few weeks. The 17" are sitting in the garage and I just finished cleaning them up...wondering if they would fit....for a different look for a few weeks....no investment required and definitely not long term.
