85 911 Slant Conv Advice Needed-
I have found an 85 911 Slant conversion cab with 81K. It is in relatively good condition (7.5 out of 10). This is a ROW car imported in 1992. Any insights / advice on what to look for?

Other than the quality of the body work, my slant nose has given me fits with the replacement of the non-factory headlight motors. Does the car have the louvers in the front fenders? They crack if glass and not steel. As with all other 3.2s, this is probably one of the best P cars to own! Oil leaks are not common although they do occur. Water leaks around the front edge of the windscreen are minimal.Good luck with your new car!

The headlights are stuck in the "up/on" position. What kind of trouble have you had with the motors? The nose does not have the louvers so that is not an issue and the conversion work is almost seamless.
This is a cabrio, have you ever heard of cabrio tops not fitting well or being hard to put up?

Chris: the headlight motors should have a manual twist **** located on each motor. Turn them to either lower or raise manually. My problems have been with the Gemballa set-up using cables and a centrally located motor. Gemballa no longer makes the parts that are broken, so the set-up has to be changed either to stock 930 or ???. The cabrio top is not a problem. Is your car stock or an aftermarket conversion?
