The rather generic write up the seller provides about the car (he lists the history / characteristics of 911's but seems to "dance around" discussing specific info about this car) is a red flag to me.
Removing the decals may not be too difficult, but there will more than likely be some paint issues (outline / fading differences for areas with decal coverage versus uncovered ares). If that was not the case, than I'm sure that the dealer selling the vehicle would have definitely removed the decals to hide the fact that the car was more than likely used for some sort of competitive driving.
You have got to love the nickname the previous owner has given the car (decal below the wing on the rear deck lid). That certainly exudes class!!!
You can never tell for sure whether or not a car has been raced. An associate at my company leases a 2007 997 Coupe. He also takes the car to Watkins Glen, autocross and D.E events. Theres not a mod on it, its bone stock and I must admit I would never know that the car was used for this had he not told me so.
The 993's are making good money, in a lot of cases they're commanding as much money (or in some cases more) than 996's with comparable mileage. Its tough to find a good one for less than 30k. The mileage on this car is about 63k miles (great!) but, given the fact that it has likely seen usage in competitive driving and the paint / clear coat may require attention I would not go over 25k if possible, 28k max. Good Luck!
