Wondering what became of the company ("Saratoga"?) that made the fiberglass 911 targa tops in the mid-seventies.
Perhaps Roland Kunz or someone else might know?
Regards,
Markus

There's a thread on the Pelican Parts 911 Web Board about those tops right now. Apparently hard tops were available from the factory in the mid 70's and a few people have/had them. As far as the tops for sale recently My understanding is that the first run had some issues with bowing at speed causing windnoise, and a problem with the latches interferring with the sunvisors. I guess from the thread some of that has been addressed. Go here to read more, Fiberglass Targa Thread on Pellican

I was about to buy one from eBay from the source on the west coast. I got some negative feedback, saying they lifted and were flimsy, from a previous purchaser and withdrew my bid. Surely someone could make a higer quality top from kevlar or carbon fibre to make them stiffer/lighter.
