JV,

I know this is a big ask and I'm not in any hurry, but,........................next time you're there can you lay a book (or something soft) over, it front to rear, and tell me the depth of the depression.

(not the depths that I fall into after looking at these beautiful pics and then going into my shed and seeing my tired, old baby)

Hey what about a dressmakers tape (material) layed in it for a front to back length on the top and then a bottom as well?

I'll get this aerofoil shape worked out sooner or later

Hey JV,

Did you get a chance to have a look at that wing??

I've started tooling up. I've got a hot wire cutter ready and a very large block of foam. 400 x 1500 x 100.
I found a aerofoil program and I've scaled it down from your previous measurements to fit the SC body correctly. This program will print out a life size template for the cutter.

So far I've got 357mm chord, 13.165% thickness and a 10% camber.

I'm going to use epoxy and lay it up with 3 layers of woven fibreglass and 2 layers of Carbon Fibre twill. I'll hang it leading edge up and cover the whole thing with Mylar so it ends up with a gloss skin on it like the original.

I have equipment here to vacuum bag and oven cure small parts but this wing won't fit in them!!

Here's to wishfull thinking

JV,
No autoclave, just oven, and a basic thing at that.

I'm sorry but I haven't progressed with the RS door panels yet, like everyone, been busy. The wife's got me working on the house. Too many projects, only one me.

I wish my brother had one!

Do you get to drive it?
