I have no knowledge about these cars. However, wasn't there another one of these that came up recently and there was a disagreement over whether they ever came with sunroofs?

Although I don't know much about the 1974 RS either, I'll agree with Jay...these babies were track oriented and sunroof delete...I think they were also spare tire delete and this is the first one I see with A/c...the VIN# is correct for a 1974 RS though...

As personal taste goes...I did not like the conversion...a real shame if this one started its life as a RS...

Kremer conversion? If so, I've never read about Kremer being involved with the '74 3.0. The ad states that the car is fitted with K-Jetronic (CIS) fuel injection, in fact it has MFI. It also has later outside rear view mirrors and a 3.3L Turbo whale tail, in place of the correct mirror and tail. There is no evidence that any of the 111 cars was built with a sunroof, and I'm not too sure about the A/C, either. 54 of these cars (Group 3) were built as "road going" cars, 42 were RSRs (Group 4), and 15 went to Penske for IROC use. A total of six were right hand drive (5 to Britain and 1 to Japan). All 111 cars were built by Porsche, and in order to meet homologation requirements for Group 4 100 units had to be built. The VIN in the ad is correct, but before buying this car I would require extensive documentation explaining how it got to where it is today.

Just a few numbers from the eBay one but miles and miles away as far as originality...

And even with that wonderful breakdown (for the car Pedro found), my records show that the last four numbers of the VIN should fall in the range of "0001" to "1036". Go figure...

I like the style, skipping the pain job. If it is something you like despite the "BS" that was thrown out, see if you can get it for cheaper.
