I wondering if any one knows about any 5 speed tranys that will fit into my
'79 930 turbo.

Apparently the 4 speed was far more robust than the 5 speed of the day ( being the 915) , thta's why it was chosen . I wonder if you could mate a G50 to it ? and could it handle the torque. ..

the G50 will handle huge amounts of power (guys running the carrera version with 600-700 hp), no problem there but it requires a lot of work to fit one to a 930, there are a few guys with them though, you're better off posting in the 930 forum were this subject is discussed often. The 915 also handles something like 450hp but again ask over there..
