Does anyone know where I can find a broken targa top? I want to try to make a clear top prototype.

The goals are to let more ligh in in cold weather, and to be able close the top while driving when it's warm out. I love driving with the top off but wish I could quickly close it when I get an important phone call.

Advice?

Saratoga tops have been elusive, cost $1k in bad shape, and don't solve my phone problem.

I cant help you with the top issue, but for phones calls I use this:

Excellent pick up pattern and off axis sound rejection. With the windscreen I can talk on the phone with the top off and windows down at 60-70mph.
Unfortunately they don't have a bluetooth version.

This guy makes the plastic top that adapts to an existing Targa top frame already. He spent quite a bit of time working on the project. I'm guessing you'd be well-served going to him instead of spending a lot of time trying to make one yourself.

Thanks, but I didn't find a clear one. My top is in good condition and I'm looking for a clear, zipper top that I can close wihile driving.
