Default Momo Monte Carlo Steering Wheel

Just wanted to get some opinions.

My current Momo steering wheel is in pretty poor condition. I'm going to replace it with the Monte Carlo (which is pretty similar to what I already have I think).

Would you recommend the 350mm diam or the 320mm diam?

I'd suggest 350mm. I have one that size and it's still a little too small for my liking - takes a lot of muscle to navigate a parking lot and the steering's a little too quick at high speeds.

I also have a 320mm. I don't mind the steering as much as losing a more-critical grouping of some of the gauges. Tried rotating some, but I can't seem to get ALL of the oil temp / oil pressure / Idiot Lights for Oil & Battery in-view; I also lose say, from 40-80mph on the speedo.

Corrales is right, there is increased effort when stopped etc., but for the most part it just feels like you're driving a go-kart instead of a car.

I'm pretty sure I have the 320mm version right now because I have the same issues you have with seeing the gauges. (Which is annoying.) That's why I'm thinking about going to the 350mm version.

I can't see half my gauges without bending my head & neck around. Annoying! I would try the larger wheel. I don't think you'll lose anything with the larger wheel.

I've got the 350mm Monte Carlo and I really like it. You'll still have some blockage of the gauges with anything other than the factory wheel. However, you can turn the gauges with the 350mm wheel and see 90%.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to go with the 350mm.

I think that even with the stock wheel it is near impossible to see the speedometer. I believe that back in the day, Porsche responded to owner complaints by suggesting they learn what speed the car was at at different RPMs.
I have the factory 930S wheel... Nice. Very nice...

LOL. That sounds like one of those urban legends.

I've driven a 951 with the 930S steering wheel. It is really nice. But I can't spend $ 400 on it right now. Plus I already have the Momo adapter installed. So I'll stick with that.

I'm looking at a model 07. I want to space the wheel a little closer than stock, and an 07 will do that.

I would keep the stock wheel if I could space it out.

I've never seen that wheel before, but I love it.
