Default Aviation Oil

Anybody considered using this type of oil in our rides?

as best I understand, aviation-spec oil (for air/oil cooled engines, I assume you refer) does not have the additives that auto application demands. the "non-auto" oil that some have touted for the old 911 is (IIRC) Harley Davidson and Mobil1 for motorcycles, since these are engineered for air-oil cooled motors built kinda like our old lumps.

Also aviation oil is designed for low RPM. Most airplanes don't see more than 2750RPM.

You do not want to use aviation oil in any automobile...this is asking for longer term trouble. Av oil has very specific additive packs that are not well suited for a higher RPM motor. There are plenty of very good auto oils available. Why not choose one of them?
