Default Sway Bar Malady

I discovered a loose right rear sway bar mount on my 89 Carrera. It looks like it tore away from the frame. What's the fix for this? How does this happen? I don't think that I hit anything that would have caused this problem, but felt some "mush" and steering concerns since a recent tire replacement. How do I fix this?

This is a very commom failure and nothing you did really caused it. You can buy aftermarket mounts and have them welded in . I think pelican sells them. I think even Porsche ones are beefier now. If you search you might find a few pics of where guys have welded them in.
Not a big problem.
