+1!

It's real hard to pull off big modern wheels on these long hoods. Fuchs!

That is a long hood. Fenders fg or steel? Could have obtained one similar from factory in 73. Named 73 RSR. This owner added modern front splitter under the front valence and custom side skirts extended down, roll bar, racing seats. That car looks mean and sorted. Definitely a lightweight. Pushing 100hp/l?

c'mon, I don't find that thing THAT fugly. I find the yellow hideous though. The wheels I agree should be backdated to old school BBS or something.

funny thing is that yellow is about the only thing I DO like .. reminds of the 73 RS cars , which is what this guy half has in mind I imagine.

I guess I am being kinda hard but i like the classic lines of the 911 without all the extra bits ... having said that of course I have a tail on my 78 :-)

The tack on side skirts and snow plow probably take at least a second off zero to sixty. Could be a really neat car minus the "pimp my ride" add on's....

the car is in the pca potomac region and the guy autocrosses the sh*t out of that thing. I wish he'd bring it to the track because the thing SCREAMS !

I actually like it. It reminds me of what we were doing in the late 80s/early 90s in IMSA. Big splitters, side skirts, big rear wings (that he's missing), making as much downforce as possible to hold the big gummy tires on the track. We were only running around 400hp too. Yes top speed was down, but cornering speeds were way up. We actually knocked about a second to a second-and-a-half off of our Daytona lap times every year for about a three year period of time with nothing but aero work.

Just think how much faster it would be without all that extra glued on weight!

I don't know, looks like he's got a lot of lightweight stuff on there now. The front trunk is pretty much stripped, and the hood has most of the reinforcement removed. Don't know if he wen with composite fenders or not. Bet the inside is a little Spartan too. Got Recaro seats replacing the stock ones. That car could be right back at the stock weight even with the added pieces.

Actually, if you look closely I think the seats say "Sparco" not Recaro.

Yep, you're right, thanks for pointing that out. That's what I get for letting my 55 year old eyes look at the photo w/o glasses! The same eyes still swear SWEPCO is red (or at least it was!) ;-) Just saw the 'o' and assumed Recaro. They're still lightweight compared to stock.
