Post Wiggle in Steering wheel

I have a 1972 911 and the steering wheel has a slight wiggle. I pulled a Technical Article off of Pelican Parts web site,"Steering Column Bushing Replacement" However the article must have been for a different year 911 Because my 1972 steering column looked totaly different than the one in the Article.
Any help would be GREAT
Thanks
Christian

can you elaborate on the "wiggle"? Is it loose, meaning you can lift the steering wheel up and down, or does the wheel shake when you're driving down the road or while braking?

The part might be cheap, but technically it's made for a 928! It just happens to work for this application on the 911's.

Does wiggle also mean "play"? You may have worn tie-rod end bushings. Turbo tie-rods are a nice upgrade and tighten up the steering considerably.

1)The play I have in the sreeting wheel is up and down.

2)About 1 1/2 years ago I put turbo tie rods on the car.

3)I tried puting the metal sleeve on the steering column just like the article said but would not fit on a 1972 911 we also tried it on the 1970 914/6 and the same thing there it would not fit.I know for afact the metal sleeve works on later 911(88)just the 72 streering column is alot different.
