Default heater blower hose

Does anyone have a tip on how to keep the plastic blower hose on? I tried large metal hose clamps with little success. I pulled it off until I can figure something better. Thanks for the advice.

Mine stays on without clamps and just presses in . Did you try large black tie wraps ?

Default heater hose

I've used large metal band hose clamps. It holds on the motor side, but not the side near the fan shroud.

I'm going from memory because mine is up on a lift now, but I recall that there are one or two screws through the holes on the end in addition to the clamp; one of the holes I'm speaking of is visible in your photo. They don't require much strength to hold, just screwed into the plastic.

Now that would make some sense, you wouldn't know off hand what the screw is, would you?

No I don't, it's just a black self tapping sheet metal type screw that can hold the two plastic pieces together.

Nathan,

There are no screws in that assembly.

The factory band clamps have pins that locate through those holes and prevent the hose from blowing off. The correct part is around $3.
