Depends on your engine condition but I've heard as much as 22hp for the 1984 Euro/US cars. Email Steve - he's really helpful. http://www.911chips.com/

putting a 3.6 in a 3.2 wouldn't make it a 3.2 now, would it?

Well no. But how about making a 3.2, 3.6 litres by adding larger barrels and pistons? Does that still count?

With my 1981 911SC (stock at 172 hp) the RayJay turbo kit boosted her up to about 270 hp which was more than adequate to go over 162mph. The car was then gear limited (5-speed 915) but it got there fast. With the right shop it is incredible, and there is no compromse to reliability on the engine or trany.

sell the 3.2 and buy a good 993 3.6 (vram)
spend the remainder on the install.

15k for a perf 3.2 rebuild seems $ light to me.

I'm not a fan of the 993s frontal area looks unfortunately.

(Stirred loads of trouble for starting a thread on that a while back... upset quite a few 993 owners.)

"sell the 3.2 and buy a good 993 3.6 (vram)"

Best suggestion!

"Figured you'd show up sooner or later."

Must be another one who bought into the "snake oil" salesman and doesn't
like to hear the reality.

Just following the forum for a while and read all the earlier steamy thread about chipping. You're one of the only contrarians and it's nice to have a balanced argument.

I think he means sell the 3.2 motor and buy a 3.6 motor, and then install that in your car.

yep - keep the 3.2 chassis (i am also not a huge fan of the 993 front end) and install a 3.6 Vram motor in there along with th 6 speed gear box (euro gears) and you will have a hella fast little puppy
