I have a friend who just bought a vehicle in Seattle and wants to transport it to Memphis. Does anyone here have any experience with a transport company that they would recommend? Or does anyone have an cautions they would like to share?
Thanks,
Don

I would try to have it flat-bedded if you have to have it towed.

I had my '84 shipped from the Philly area to my home near Milwaukee by InterCity Lines. I had the prior owner snap pics and email them to me right when the car was picked up from his home, so I could see how it was going on the trailer and were it was placed in the trailer.
Four days later, it arrived at my door without incident and in the exact spot it was loaded into.
I would highly recommend shipping a car with Intercity Lines. It's not much more than some of the cheaper carriers, but they handle the cars with care and it's fully enclosed shipping that is truly door to door.
Beware of the shipping companies that provide door to terminal or terminal to terminal shipping. It's in these terminals that cars get damaged the most.
Good Luck,
Jay
