I almost can't believe almost everyone of my favorite rennguys posted here to wish me a mappy birthday. Now we just need that australian guy to chime in.
My job title is "outside sales" so I get my 30,000 mile per year driving fix in during the week. don't worry guys, I'm driving the porsche. kids to school, scouts, and the evening run to panda express...lots of excuses to drive. hmm??? chevy astro with 140,000, nissan frontier with 165,000, ford e-350 with 65,000, or '88 cab?

From a financial perspective, this is a good deal, since the original car value goes up faster or the same than the value loss from driving the 2nd car.

Happy B-day, Douglas! What's really important from this point is service/repair history. Save every receipt, even for a quart of oil, and mark the mileage when that quart gets added. It might sound silly, but if you can tell a buyer, years from now, that the tires have "X" miles and "X" months on them, every major service has been done on time, the car uses about 1338 miles/quart of oil, etc., you will sell it to the first guy who knocks on your door. Keep it clean and waxed, keep the shiny side up, fix when needed and enjoy the heck out of it!

Peter, and everyone...thank you so much......the oil thing?? I was told that the 911s drink oil. This one has gone over 2,000 miles with me really driving it and I don't see any drop at all. it was low when I got it so I was nervous, but all seems o.k. What oil should I use and where do I get it? back to work
