Hello 911 forum! My name is Larry from San Francisco. This forum has been a great help (searching) getting my "new" SC sorted out (blowers, switches, etc) since I got it a few months ago. The car replaces the '79 we had back in '80-'81 and loved untill the kids legs grew too long.......always knew there'd be another. I hope the pics open okay. The dog loves the beach, and that's a favorite ride of mine, so we're always together on beach runs. Thanks for a real nice forum.

SF is a great place. Catch any mountain roads with the 79 yet? Must be interesting to drive a new one and then re-visit the whole thing 25 years later.

I appreciate the welcome and compliments; thanks!
The rims are 7", 8". The car was brought recently to California by a San Jose guy who bought it from the Texas owner of 23 years. It was well cared for and is real close to matching the car I had years ago (it was "champagne" color). My wife hated the last one (it made her sick) and has been in this one only twice. She says the windshield makes her dizzy. Maybe that's why the dog leans her head way out thru the open window. I figured it's a bad idea to suggest that to my lovely wife.
I've taken the car on a few of the old favorite roads (hwy 35 ride to Alice's restaurant is a favorite, and also great on a motorcycle) and it does bring back memories. Just sliding into it in the garage and smelling the interior and residual engine odors is a kick that's lacking in newer cars. Even the way the doors close is somehow special. And the heating system is VERY special. I couldn't operate it back then, and can't do it now. It's a good solid rattle free, tight as a drum car, and I have no trouble pretending I'm as good as the car is. What a kick! I couldn't be happier.
