How's the temperature over there?
I was reading an Ultima building diary (extremeley awesome) and I read that the temperature was affecting a little his body fitment. Factory told him to snap carboard in a couple of places in order for the FG to settle for a week or so. Kind of like forcing spacers betwwen the small gap areas.

Temps? 60-70's depending on the time of day/night. Starting to warm up in the next days.

I have decided on the wheels... will go with Lindsey Racing P2 (Fuch styled)

The photos are from Matteo, a gentleman in the Pelican forum that is getting this monster built in NC... but you get the idea, somewhat, of what the wheels look like... tires are 315 rears, 275 in the front. For my fenders I think I will need a spacer to make them flush with the outside lip... we will see...

Cool

After playing some more with the position of the brackets and adding some flat washers to shift the bumper 1/2" to the passenger side... voila! Bumper fits better...

C clamps replaced with 1/4" stainless steel bolts and washers:

Made the brackets for the back of the fender... will glass over it an create an extension to the fender in that area to fill the gap that is there.

This thing is starting to look like a car again:

Working now on fitting the headlights... I was told and also read not to trust fiber glass for holding the headlights so I will make some brackets for the top and another one for the bottom to hold them in place.

Also, all the border around the headlight bucket needs to be removed for the lights to fit... seems the FG is too thick and does not allow for the headlight to fit correctly. I tried to leave some level of border to at least help keep it in place while I insert the bottom bolt...

All this lip goes away...

Here you can see why the lip needs to be removed... look at the bottom of the headlight:

Now with the border almost removed...

Looking much better now:

Thank you Wim!!!!

Now I know what I will have to do to the fenders to finish the job properly:

From this:

It has to look like this:

Got to tell you... since I do not have plans to do a complete strip down and re-spray I will clean and paint just that section so I can take a photo like that that is one clean fender (newly painted and in the process of being built).

Here is the rest of that car:

I'm not sure if anyone asked this question or not, but would you be willing to sell those door pocket for the speakers? Mine fell off and I would like something that is affordable.

One less thing off the list...

Next are the signal lights in the bumper...
