In all seriousness, it is extremely difficult to do a burnout with all of that weight over the rear wheels, not to mention the fact that the rear will load up even more under the hard acceleration. This is why 911s can get such good traction off the line (in autox on a cold day, it is borderline rediculous how well these things launch). No burnouts, though...

With a response like that Im not sure why you responded either. Perhaps is has something to do with the "stupid" in your comment?

Maybe I was just curious to see if anybody actually has a pic. I have seen 928 on video and in pics and simply wondered if somebody had done it with a 911.

And BTW what does learning about Porsches have to do with wondering if somebody has a pic of one doing a burn out?????

Nice response. classy in fact.....

Thats what I figured. Thanks for the response......Some of these turbos and even the NA cars are throwing out some serious HP. Mine has LSD and I really dnt know what you would use it for?

ahhh see, someone always has to rain on the parade....Im sure the father had a big smile on his face after Mario Undressme got home with his father's somewhat over-taxed Porsche. On the upside, the crowd seemed very pleased and supportive...thats gotta count while repairing the U Boat.

Didn't mean to offend - just irritated by the curiousity pertaining to the ability of a particular automobile to defeat the objective of getting underway quickly by spinning it's wheels and polluting the atmosphere with even more crap (which in the case of Porsche's also ammounts to serious abuse).

I'm particularly sensitive to this because I got rid of my modified "99" 375 hp 6spd Corvette hardtop (the one the first generation Z06 was based on this model) which would spin it's rears until the wheel rims inscribed the pavement to hub depth, to return to a classic light weight (yeah, it's a 2500 lb RoW SC not an RSR) sports car that goes around corners quickly without the drama of herding a ton and a half of cup holders, 1000,000 mega watt stereo, "where the **** am I" satelite "Where the **** am I?" devices, etc. bulk .

Sheeesh

You're missing the point of 911ness completely if the answer to such a question truly intrigues you.
My buddy, years ago, had an MGA w/a 350 Chevy small block in it that would break the rear tires loose at 70 mph - Big ******* Deal !!.

How fast can you drive into a brick wall without crushing the front clip to the extent that you bruise your prissy, whatever color, knee caps?

Why the **** even ask such a stupid question?
