I was able to get my 911SC from 1981 up to 162 mph.--pegged it frequently. Oh, yea, and then there was this extra plumbing back in there (a little turbo...)

73targa, 2150 pounds, RS spec 2.7 motor, rev limiter at 6800rpm, speedo at 150. At least that is what I saw. When ever I tell the story my wife says it was 148. We raced a crotch rocket late one night on an empty stretch of highway. By the way, he looked over his shoulder at 150 and saw me. When he hit the gas it looked like I slammed on the brakes. Those things are so fast. If you actually do the numbers, gear ratio, wheel diameter, etc it is 148mph.

I've had the Porsche for a year now and the fastes I've gotten her is 80 MPH.

This isgoing by the speedo since it just stops and bounces at 80 when I'm cruising at 4000 RPM in 5th
