Post Part No. help wanted, wiper stem caps

I've been unable to find some trim part numbers, hopefully someone can help. Exterior, below the windshield, on the wiper stems (not the wiper arms) are 2 black plastic sleves(?), 1 on each wiper. Mine are so brittle a little breaks off each time I wash the car. None of the on-line parts lists I've found show them.

Also, where can I get a parts listing (manual/diag) for an '88 Cab? Do the dealers sell one?

TIA,
Bill W.

I believe the part is # 901.628.926.00, however, you should confirm that. The partsmeisters at Reeves Porsche in Tampa are very knowedgable, and they discount Porsche parts. (no affiliation, just satisfied customer, etc).

Porsche published their Parts and Techncial Reference Catalog 911 Models 1974-1989 December 1995. Part # PNA 000 147. About $10. Got mine from Pelican, very handy, nice to use in conjunction w/ the Bentley Manual for the 3.2 Carrera.

In this book, p100, the '76-'89 "wiper arm cover for replacement arms" is pictured, the part # is listed as 928 628 623 01 01C. Keep in mind it may have been superceded since this catalog was published. good luck.

Thanks for the info, I had heard of the Parts & Tech. Ref. Cat. (PNA 000 147) before but it kept coming up NLA (on Pelican too). I'll try Reeves for the Wiper Shaft Cap and see if they have the Parts manual. I've only found the cat's on microfisch(sp?) but I don't have a fisch reader! BMW has a parts CD that covers the bikes and cars, too bad Porsche doesn't have the same thing!!

I've had the Bentley's since right after I bought the car, it's been worth every penny.

After reading Kevin's post, I had to pull out the Parts and Technical Reference Catalog (which I also highly recommend), as a 928 and 901 part number are quite different. We posted part numbers for different pieces. The 901 part I posted is the round plastic piece between the wiper arm and body. Kevin provided the number for the cap on the wiper arm. Hopefully one of those two parts are what you need! Reeves, or any dealer, can also provide you the picture from the parts catalog to make sure you're ordering the right part.
