SC to 930 suspension upgrade
I am in the process of converting my '81 SC suspension to 930. I have a widebody conversion, and have nailed down what is needed to convert the rear (wish I could locate some cheap trailing arms!). But I am not sure what needs to be converted in front. Which parts do I need to change? I have 22mm TB's, Bilstein sports, a Weltmeister adjustable, and 996 rotors and calipers. I appreciate any advice!

There is nothing you need to do for the front, it will bolt right on. be ware the track is wider by about 1/4 inch
I would think twice about the rear, there really is not much value unless you are racing the car and looking for the last 1/10th of a second, even then it is doubtful this would make that much of a difference.
GAS Motorsports makes a conversion for fhr brakes so you can run the 930 brakes on Carrera banana arms. Looks good.
I have a 930 front and the conversion 930 brakes on my 911 race car, works like a charm.

The 930 rear trailing arm pickup points are different than a 911. Smart Racing Products has an adjustable "weld in" camber box kit that will convert your car. Remember, the 930 arms are actually shorter and won't bolt in correctly. I think there is a bit explaining this in more detail in Bruce Andersons book.

Cary is correct, the 930 arms are shorter, and costly. If you have a set consider selling them to someone who is eeking out that last tenth of a second and finance you conversion. You will have to add either the camber boxes in the rear specifically for the 930 arms or get the conversion parts which also have to be weleded in.
good luck
