Post Grounding Problem?

Hi all,

In the ignition position prior to start-up, the battery and oil light are supposed to light and the buzzer is supposed to sound. In my car this is usually the case. However, sometimes either the oil light will not come on and/or the buzzer will not sound (the battery indicator always lights up). In these cases the ignition seems more sluggish, although it starts every time. Could this problem be related to a bad transmissin ground strap? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

tranny ground needs routine cleaning, IMO..and an old ignition sw. can cause some interesting problems in our cars..if over 100k on ignition sw. a new electrical portion of the sw. is not a bad idea..but I don't have hard info on your problem..........Ron
