Presently, I have my motor and transaxle out for various repairs and upgrades. I was looking at the throwout bearing and release fork and wondering just how that all fits back together, when I try to bolt the trans. back to the engine.
I gather the fork rides in the throwout bearing groove. The fork looks like it would have to be inserted *sideways* into the groove so how does it get seated there as you close things up?

Dial911,
Line-up the trans and the engine. Position clutch release fork pointing toward the release bearing.
As you mate the trans housing with the engine, guide the 'fork' to the release bearing groove thru the hole (starter mounting hole).
The adjustment lever (see diagram at Pelican's 915 Release Mech section) is not installed at this point. It should be straight forward from here.
Inspect condition of fork and release bearing, replace as needed.
