BHfast, why not consider upgrading to the four-piston black calipers that came on 944Turbos, 968s and 964 models?

I think they would be more than ample for a 2200lb car.

I have a friend with a '73RS clone, FULL track car, weighs about 2100lbs if I remember correctly. He has the previously described calipers installed.

I've driven the car on track several times, at CMP and VIR, what a blast, there seemed to be no limit to how late you could brake...it was insane.

I believe I actually scared my friend a few times!

Now he's got his Club Racing and HVRA license...so look out - here he comes!

The only problem w/ using the small basic Brembo calipers is fitting them over the wider 930 rotors it can be done(I have them on 930 rotors on my car but its not the easiest brake upgrade). The only one that I know of doing that upgrade is PowerHaus in Az. VCI uses the smaller waterpumper rotors which do seem to work well for ~2200#/200 or so hp cars in racing, in fact it has been reported that there is an apparant over cooling problem at longer venues w/ that setup.

On the big black option how does this sound:

951 8" front fuchs with big blacks and 225s
930 9" rear with 930 brakes and 245/255s
AJ USA cooling kit

~2600lb Carrera

Street with 5 track events and numerous autocross per season.

Are there other options that would fit in the 951 fuchs?
