Carfax can not handle the older VIN numbers. I bought the car from the second owner, who had it 15 years. I owned it for 4 years and then sold it to a dealer. Seems to have gone through a few hands since then.

As always with eBay, caveat emptor...thanks for posting this. It's also up on the early911S registry site.

I loved the car. I have owned several 911's and it was my favorite. I actually wanted to buy it for a second time in October, but bought an orphan 1970 instead. I truly want the next owner of the car to appreciate it the way that I did. Buying a car that is misrepresented makes it very difficult to enjoy the ownership experience.

By the way, it's back on ebay!
