The O2 sensor is ignored until the engine reaches 15C degrees. If the sensor has failed, the frequency valve continues to operate at the default rich position. However, if the frequency valve is disconnected or failed in the closed position, it cannot regulate lower chamber pressure in the fuel distributor, and the higher pressure results in a leaner mixture. The system can run OK with a disconnected or failed sensor, but not with a blocked fuel return through the frequency valve.

Ernie: Outstanding!! All's well that ends well! Please replace that relay, they rarely start to work again and when they do they don't last very long!

Thre problem is the warm up regulator. Sometimes you can knock the pin down with a punch bit make sure you have a fuel pressure gauge running from rhe fuel
distributor to the warm up regulator. If the pressure is low ,knock the pin down untill the pressure is ay the appropiate level. you should look up the #s for the correct pressure.
