The very best of luck -- G50 Carreras are sweet cars. Just remember, though; some of them do wear their valve guides early, which is rather more than trivial. No one said it would be easy, but be patient and find the right car for you -- it will be very well worth it. Happy hunting.

Hi:
One caveat on the 87-89 cars. The factory upgraded the clutch lever arm bearings on the April 89 and later G50 3.2's. The 87-to early 89 cars, unless repair records indicate otherwise, may be prone to this problem sometime down the road. The 84-86 cars have the 915 trans, which have their own admirers , even though the G50's are "considered" superior.

DNR:
Find yourself a sweet 84-86 Carrera for around 20K or less and keep the extra money around for the customary 2-3K in repairs the car will need. Like Wil, I love the 915 trans.
