SC 16" alternate rims
Hi guys, looking for a cheap alternative for a (full size) spare wheel. I've checked my spare wheel recently, it is 15", and all my wheels are 16". Is there any US (or Japanese or European) car with 16" rims that would fit the 911 SC? 2nd question, are there 15" rims that would fit (not for the spare obviously, have something else in mind if the price is right). George, one approach would be to select a used oem 15" steel rim from an early 911 or 912. select a somewhat narrower, higher profile tire that provides the same revs/mi (rolling radius or outside diameter) as your stock wheel & tire combo (around 830?). make sure it fits in your trunk, of course... Tire Rack's site (& others) have all the tire specs.
