Necessary to use shims/anti-squeal stuff on rear pads?
I am installing PBR Deluxe pads in the rear of my 911 SC. There is no anti-squeal pad on the backing plate. Can I put these in as is, or do I have to spray them with anti-squeal or use shims. I have some Gunk spray for this, but I've heard this makes the seals stick to it.

Nothing special. Like any pad service, clean the caliper and hanger surfaces that contact the back and sides of the pads. Use a wire brush or grinder with flexible disk for this. Put a light coat of anti-seize compound on the surfaced that touch the back and sides of the pads. Don't get anything on the friction surface of the pads, and don't use any sprays/cleaners that can harm the caliper piston boot.
