Question 1978 SC Mods

Hi all,

I just purchased a 1978 SC. I want to make a couple mods to the car but need help to find parts. Specifically, i am looking for the following:

a pair of rsr-type side rear-view mirrors (those small convex mirrors)

2 x 8.5/17 Fuchs

2 x 10/17 Fuchs

a complete black interior for a 1978 SC (the one i got is tan)

an IROC front bumber (need a spare)

Thanks for your help!

No. And yes. Fuchs never made a 17-inch wheel. But you can get wheels made with the centers of Fuchs either as 3-piece (with the row of bolts going all around) or 2-piece (where the Fuchs center is welded into a one-piece barrel. The advantages of this are light, strong wheels which can use modern tire sizes.

You can put 8x17 and 9x17 2-piece wheels on an SC pretty easily. I did it on my (former) early car with SC flares:

If you move a rear oil line and do some other mild mods, you can fit 8x10x17 ones, which I did for my race wheels.

They're made by Lindsey Racing in Oklahoma.

Mike Lindsey does a fairly nice job on wheels. He's been restoring wheels for many years. Got curb rash? Call Mike. He does the sizing up to 17 for original Fuchs.
