Kudos on your patience and methodical approach. As a heat exchanger, your oil cooler needs air throughput. You can do so a few ways: add that little plastic scoop that replaces your side-marker light (try pelican); you could notch an opening in the upper part of the valance (just below the bumper line so as to be least visually intrusive); you can buy a Carrera valance which has cutouts for the foglamps and simply not use the foglamps; you can cut your own opening into your valance (mine has a huge trapazoidal opening and thus get lots of cool airflow ...never a prob even in 100+ ambient heat at the track). And yes, DO get the fan in there if you ever have to sit in traffic ...mine is a trackmeister so a fan is unimportant to me. I think you'll find that getting more air into the ducted area will solve your temp issues. Hope this helps.

Indeed!
I just installed the fan. Before the fan, my temps on a probe thermometer read 220 at least when at it's hot temp. which was at about 9:30 to 10:00 on the gauge. I just did the same probe and found that after a regular city cycle including stop and go crap, it was 203 or so. I reads 9:00 on the gauge. I think this is fine here in vegas where it was 90ish today. It takes a long time to get to the hot temp, but won't go over it unless it comes right back down. I finally feel comfortable dreiving it without melting the bearings. Good day
