Transmission Woes
Hi everyone
Yesterday I took my 70 911 out from under the cover to go cruising in town. After about 20 minutes of driving, I started noticing that putting it back into first gear I would grind it. It seemed really weird that it would do such a thing since I felt I knew how to drive this thing by now. Now it sometimes grinds in both first and reverse and I know better to keep driving it. I don't know it could be just my crappy shifting or not. The transmission was just rebuilt a year ago. The car is a 70 911 with 2.4 MFI and a 901 transmission. I know this transmission is tricky but I thought I had it down by now.
Thanks for the help

The alignment of the shift rod and transmission may be off or the bushings may be bad. There are many threads on Rennlist about this topic. Suggest you read some of them to get a feel for what might be wrong. LOL
