Listers,
After four years of good, careful maintaining of my 911, I lost both my gas cap and dip stick in a months time. note: the dipstick CAN fall into the sump if you do not take care to put it into its holder in the oil receptacle. Can anyone point me where I can get used ones to replace? Someone at Performance Products said he can't sell me the dipstick, so I'm looking for used.
Thanks,
James

My gas cap was stolen from me the day I bought my 82. I was stopped getting gas and I set the cap on top of the pump and this guy walks out of the store with his wife and kids and was like, "wow! what year?" etc etc etc. While I was talking to him, the two guys at the next pump over swiped my cap off of the top of the pump
Well, I had 900 miles to go before I got home, so I stopped at advance auto parts and bought a plastic cap for 6 bucks. Its not metal like the original, but it does the job...who knew porsche parts could be cheap?
