That's great. It looked like it wasn't going to be easy.

Default Still replacing my 88 911 engine & Tranny

Working on the top now, everything connected or identified except this large female connector. Removed the air intake and blower motor to better see into the back (firewall side) with a mirror, but don't see where it goes. Any help?

If that's the tps idle air valve connector its on upper shock support behind the engine right next to the left hand shock. If its the main harness connector its in the left side electricts panel

Found the air valve connector, but missed the left front male connector for the main harness. Thanks for the help. Just one more if you can. A braided 1/4" hose that exits the right side body pic shown here.

Still looking for a home

That goes to the thermotime switch on the back of the throttle body, it is tough to see but there are two ports on it

So, because I routed the main harness cable out the back (towards the firewall) when I reassembled the intake & throttle body, it looks like I will need to remove the right side manifold, fuel rail etc. to route it out the side to the left. This has been a real learning experience about advanced planning.

Don't get too frustrated, we've all done something like that to one degree or another. I can't begin to count the lessons learned the hard way. You'll get it, and the satisfaction you will feel when you fire her up again will help you forget the winding road getting there.

That harness should pass through the intake between the first and second runner, there is a attaching point for the hold down on the second runner.

Off for a few weeks, but now getting close to finishing after new axles, konis, brake pads, and a new Fabsport muffler which I am still fighting to get aligned like the pics Fabsport sent me. Other than a few bolts (which I had spares) and this brace which doesn't show up in any of my pics, or Bentley's. Anyone know where this goes on an '88?

Where does this go?
