Question Used car guarantee

I am looking at a '83 SC and the used car dealer says that it is covered by a 3 month "Allianz Euro Guarantee".

Anybody has experiences with this (or other) insurance company guarantees?

What can I expect this guarantee to cover?

Thanks

Paco,
The best warranty is to have a Porsche specialist inspect the car including pulling off the lower valve covers to check for broken head studs, and do a compression test. The added expence is worth the peace of mind.
Best of luck. I hope you buy the 83 that is the one I have and realy like the car.
E-mail me if you have any questions.
Saludos.

Wink

I will look at the car next saturday and, since the dealer gives me a 15 day FULL guarantee (mandated by law) I plan to buy the car and then have a "Post purchase inspection" and have the dealer repair any faults.

Plus this is easier for me to convince my wife (once I buy the car it is MINE <img src="graemlins/r.gif" border="0" alt="[king]" /> ).

One more question. I would like to install an A/C because summers in Spain are really hot. Is this possible? Who does this? How much does it cost.

It is possible to add after market a/c but not sure if its a good idea. I think it may be better to buy a car already with a/c.

It should be possible to find the factory parts used, there are alot of people that take the AC out for weight reduction. I would think it would be a expensive proposition, but I am not aware of the labor cost in Spain. Even the best Porsche AC is like a older Volvo they work but not to efficient.
I live in Florida and I dont drive my car in the heat of the day it rains almost every afternoon here and the humidity is very bad. But the winter months is a blast !!
